Olympia Brewery

Project overview

Originally constructed in 1896 and significantly expanded in 1906, the Olympia Brewery complex spans 32 acres and includes approximately 110,850 square feet of historic buildings.

In collaboration with the developer and the architect of record, the scope of work involved a comprehensive investigation and forensic analysis of the site. The primary objective was to create a master use plan for the entire property, which included evaluating the historical significance of building systems and components, as well as developing a preliminary understanding of the existing conditions.

The project included entitlement research, a review of environmental abatement requirements, an analysis of environmental critical areas, and a review of historical preservation regulations. Additionally, zoning research, code analysis, and detailed as-built documentation were completed to inform the planning and redevelopment of this large-scale commercial project.
