Andover Park

Project overview

Andover Park, completed in 2014, is a striking mixed-use high-rise tower and is the tallest building in Tukwila. The 19-story building features a seamless integration of luxury hotel accommodations and residential living spaces, complemented by a multi-level parking structure. Hotel Interurban occupies a portion of the building with 189 guest rooms, while Airmark Apartments offers 370 residential units across a variety of floor plans, including studios, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom layouts.

Paul Soldwedel, a principal member of Studio Rinato, previously contributed to the Andover Park as the lead architect during his time at Gwest. His role encompassed all phases of the architectural process, including design, permitting, and construction oversight. He was instrumental in guiding the project from conceptualization to completion, providing strategic direction on design solutions, and ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders. His expertise ensured the project adhered to timelines and budgetary requirements, resulting in a successful, on-time delivery of this mixed-use tower.

The project scope included full-service architectural design, from the initial programming and site planning through to master-use permitting, schematic design, and design development. The design process emphasized the creation of a dynamic, functional space that would serve both hotel and residential tenants while contributing to the urban landscape. Construction documentation, bid management, and permitting were also part of the comprehensive services provided, ensuring the project’s successful execution.
